As a small intro, my name is Petey and I am Melanie’s other half. I am excited to join my wife in this journey of sharing the knowledge of oils that we have been so blessed to find over the last few years. I was definitely a, self admitted, long term skeptic of essential oils when Melanie started her journey because I was stuck in a singular mode of thinking that our modern/mainstream way of living was all we needed. I now think as a whole, people are really starting to wake up to the fact that there are different ways we can protect our health rather than consuming so many toxic chemicals or pharmaceuticals. A perfect example of that is essential oils and our “Heal” roller blend recipe.
Melanie shared our mutual “Eureka” moment with oils after our daughter was born via repeat cesarean. If you haven’t read that post, or need the “Heal” roller recipe, check it out HERE.
The thing that I noticed through that experience was how quickly the redness was receding from her incision area after using this healing roller 2 times daily. Normally after surgery, you see that puffiness stay for a while in the scars. In fact it can be a big issue for athletes, if the incision is in a bad spot (from experience). Watching her heal so quickly is what cemented me as a believer and I really dove into all this “hippy” stuff even more after I saw her results.
We definitely don’t want to keep this liquid gold secret to ourselves so even before this blog we told all our friends and family about oils and our personal stories using them. That is what happened with this next story.
Recently my father got awful news. He went in for what he thought was going to be a routine stint for a partly blocked artery. The plan was that he be out of the hospital by the afternoon, and my parents would be out in time to see a movie. Well that procedure didn’t go the way they hoped, and it turned out he needed emergency open heart surgery, triple bypass. The doctor said 99 out of 100 people would have had a massive heart attack in his condition! So needless to say I was a mess, In Arizona, 1,100 miles away frantically trying to find a way home in time to see him. It was the fastest 12 hour stretch of my life trying to move everything around to get out to Texas. While I was running around packing, my amazing wife remembered to make our “Heal” roller for my dad and the scars he would have post surgery. She thankfully packed it in my bag. After the surgery and a short few days post op, my dad’s chest scar looked amazing already. The surgeon had done a masterful job. But the leg that they had to get the vein from… not so much. It looked terrible. Well see for yourself:
The Dr felt bad but they were having an issue getting the vein from his right leg, so they “quickly” went into his left leg to get a vein. Well this scar didn’t heal so well, constantly giving him issues. He used the hospital surgical soap as directed, but it was still puffy, irritated, not fully closed, and itching. He was reluctant to use the roller at first, as it was somewhat against the doctor’s direction. But thankfully, my mom talked him into it. The results were even faster then my wife’s. The next morning, after the 1st use, both my mom and dad noticed a large reduction in the redness and swelling and a short3 days later it was a totally different scar! Here take a look:
To see and hear my dad get a full personal display of what these oils can do for their life is one of the more gratifying experiences i’ve ever had. My only hope and prayer is that someone else out there will read this recipe and use it to improve their own life. Trust me you will not be disappointed. Take back control of your health with these natural healing oils that have been used for thousands of years and continue to bless lives today.
